WEBINAR: Radiographic Survey for Skeletal Dysplasias
Dr Alistair Calder, consultant radiologist, gives an overview of diagnostic skeletal imaging for children with suspected skeletal dysplasia.
Dr Calder has been a consultant radiologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital since 2006, and specialty lead for body radiology since 2019. His subspecialist interests include cardiothoracic CT imaging and the radiology of inherited and metabolic bone disorders, and has worked in the field of skeletal dysplasia since 2010. He has a passion for teaching the radiology of skeletal dysplasias; he is faculty member on the Uk Skeletal Dysplasia Group Instructional Course, The European Society of Human Genetics Masterclass in Skeletal Dysplasia and the Annual Introductory Course on Skeletal Dysplasias. He has contributed to a range of research publications, educational articles and textbooks, including in the fields of rickets, osteogenesis imperfecta, PTH1R-related disorders, osteopetrosis and the differential diagnosis for skeletal findings in suspected physical abuse. He is a member of the Nosology and Educational Committees of the International Skeletal Dysplasia Society
