This study linked PTBP1-associated abnormalities in nucleocytoplasmic distribution to neurodevelopmental disorders accompanied by skeletal dysplasia, expanding current understanding of how RNA-binding proteins contribute to the coordinated development and disease mechanisms of the skeletal and nervous systems.
